Abstract

In the first chapter - concept - the German didactics of politics by Kurt Gerhard Fischer and Wolfgang Hilligen are presented and put in relation to the didactics of Wolfgang Klafki and Martin Wagenschein, followed by a presentation of the "Lehrkunstdidaktik" (art of teaching) according to Hans Christoph Berg and Theodor Schulze. Thus the examination of the relationship between the didactics of politics and the Lehrkunstdidaktik is prepared. In the second chapter - example - the teaching unit "Aristotle advises constitutionalists" is presented in its various stages of development. It contains a classic exemaple of a didactical analysis, for which nothing comparable can yet be found in the didactics of teaching ("Bildungsdidaktik"). It follows the design of a didactical lesson ("Lehrstück") in five steps of optimizing. In the third chapter - method - didactics of politic in tradition and present are examined from the point of view of a teaching of politics inspired by the Lehrkunstdidaktik. Several teaching units of politics in school books are analysed and reviewed. In addition there are reports of further attempts of Lehrstück teaching with the following result: The Lehrkunstdidaktik by Berg and Schulze refers the German didactics of politics to their origins and helps to diagnose false developments and to work out proposals for a redevelopment. The dissertation ends with an outlook: On the way to Lehrkunstdidaktik in the field of teaching politics.
