Abstract
With this study we present Long-term results after derotation varus osteotomy (DVO) in treatment of congenital developmental dysplasia of the hip.
37 Patients were included with 75 DVOs. The avarage follow - up examination was after 24,4 years. On the one hand, the he clinical results including the results of the Harris – Hip – Score, the Merle d’Aubignè score and the Gao – Score were good up to excellent. On the other hand we observed poorly radiological long-term results after DVO. Nearly 62.16 % had a pathological hip-value, therefore the DVO should not be taken anymore in the treatment of the congenital developmental dysplasia of the hip.
