Korrelationen von Magnetresonanzspektroskopie, Histologie und molekularen Markern für Infiltration, Proliferation und Angiogenese bei Gliompatienten
Abstract
In this study, patients who underwent surgery for suspected glioma were first examined using preoperative multivoxel H-MRS. Samples were then obtained along a surgical trajectory embedded in the resection and the sampling sites were assigned to the corresponding spectroscopy voxel. This was followed by histopathological examination of the tumor samples. In addition, the samples were examined in the laboratory using qPCR for the expression of several molecular markers that represent the above-mentioned tumor-biological processes of gliomas. The most important finding of this work is the demonstration that it is possible to correlate spectroscopy metabolites with the expression of molecular markers and that metabolites can differ depending on the tumor zone.
