Abstract

71 Patients with breast-conserving therapy and a 20 Gy boost by either electron therapy (57 patients) or interstitial therapy (15 patients) were retrospectively examined. The mean follow-up was 34 months. Local control, side effects and cosmetic outcome were evaluated. 83% of overall patients had a good and very good cosmetic outcome. No boost technique was clearly superior to the other.
