Abstract
Sialadenosis is a disease of unknown aetiology. A female patient suffering from diabetes insipidus developed sialadenosis during a period of frequent ADH application. In immunohistochemical stainings an extensively high signal for aqp5 was found. In this study we found also a specific aqp5 signal in sialadenosis irrespective of the assoziated disease. Also we found a different localisation of aqp5 in sialadenosis compared to normal parotid tissue and sjögren syndrom.
