Abstract
The thesis is about Goalball a Paralympic game for people with visual impairment. The goal was to analyze the structure of the game and its challenge, especially to find factors in the attack tactics that influence the sporting success in a positive way.
In history, the game Rollball developed by Dyck is the basic idea of Goalball. The prerequisite for physical activity represents a particular challenge to people with visual impairment in terms of learning movements and perception. Today the learning and production of motion patterns is resourceoriented, informations such as kinaesthetic, acoustic and tactile perception are used for learning. The technical and tactical descriptions can be used for the interpretation and examination of possible success factors related to the attack behavior.
A total of 10727 throws has been analyzed during the European Championship Goalball 2009 with the focus on throwing and attacking behavior as well as the throwing direc-tions. One result shows an accumulation of throws on the intersections sector 3 and 7 of all teams, these intersections are predominantly attacked by straight throws. In general, no correlation can be found between the throwing direction (straight, half diagonal, diagonal) and the goal ratio. Also, no correlation is found between the final placement of the teams and the number of throws on the intersections for both - women and men. The consideration of the final placement and the number of throws on the non-intersections shows a correlation for women - but not for men. Overall, the results show a higher score on the intersections than on the non-intersections. The scoring on the intersections and non-intersections is directly related to both the women's and men's final placing. This correlation can only be established for women between the goal against ratio on the intersection and the final placement No correlation can be established for men and women between the goal against ratio on the non-intersections and the final placement.
The main result and relevance for the practice is that the probability of success increases in terms of winning a game when the attack tactic is aimed at the intersections with straight (fast) throws. In addition, a safe defense behavior on the intersection has a positive effect in case of winning a game.
