Abstract

Mechanical loading on osteoblasts is one major component in bone remodeling. Investigating cell forces, may help identifying the underlying mechanisms of mechanotransduction. Aim of this publication was to point out the role of myosin II in the generation of cell forces in primary osteoblasts while applying shear stress.
