Abstract

AATD is a worldwide disease but there is still a lack of awareness concerning this condition. We were able to demonstrate that it is possible to detect a high number of individuals with aatd by offering a free diagnosting test in combination with sufficient information. Further it was possible to form a national registry to analyse the quality of medical treatment in Germany.
