The study presents the travel reports of Joseph Roth and locates the various articles in the field of Neue Sachlichkeit, which is charactaristic for german literature in the 1920s. The study shows the enormous relevance of Joseph Roths journalistic work and demonstrates the closure of the gap between literature and journalism.
