The electrospinning method was used to prepare functionalised polymer fibers as well as pure metal wires for different uses. The covered fields were the preparation of bismuth nano wires for thermoelectrics, superparamagnetic fibers by incorporation of magnetite particles and wires of cobalt, nickel, iron and the iron oxides hematite and magnetite. The magnetic fibers and wires were examined by SQUID.
