Abstract

In this work a measurement device for the determination of the H2O2 concentration in the gas phase had been developed. Therefore different commercially available gassensors had been investigated as well as a new gassensor with a calorimetric transducer had been developed. To perform different tests, a test equipment had been realised. With that, the parameters which can be found in industrial sterilisation machines can be reproduced. In that equipment, different set-ups to perform tests for the investigation of the microbiocidal effectiveness, the performance of the commercial available gassensors, different catalytically active and passive materials and the new type of gassensor, can be integrated. It could be shown, that the commercially avaiable gassensors are showing a sensitivity towards H2O2 but they all are showing a cross sensitivity towards the water content and the temperature. A correlation with the microbiocidal effectiveness could be calculated. For the development of a calorimetric gassensor different catalytically active and passive materials had been investigated. With convenient materials a H2O2 gas sensor had been developed. A gas sensor had been realised with a high sensitivity towards H2O2 with a marginal cross sensitivity towards water content and temperature.
