Abstract

Within this dissertation several anion exchangers were introduced which were prepared using a novel synthetic method and allowed a closer assertion of the concept to describe the anion exchange processes. The synthetic methods are based upon the utilisation of the circumstance due the formation of a phase interface between a non functionalised carrier material and fluid phase. This allows a regioselective grafting of ionomer on the surface of the carrier material. Hence forming a homogeneous hydration of the anion exchange site, in the case of pellicular anion exchangers inhomogeneous hydration of the anion exchange sites of the latex particle is avoided. Due to the developed synthetic method the manufacturing of stationary phases on the basis of polyelectrolytes and ionenes became possible which was assumed not to be realisable and like all anion exchanger within this dissertation feature high chromatographic efficiency. Due to the investigation of these stationary phases it was accomplished to disprove the literature known concept to describe the observed asymmetries of the signals of polarisable anions and issue a statement for this effect which attributes to an inhomogeneous hydration of the anion exchange groups. With a regioselective synthesis of the ion exchange resins a regulated hydratation could be guaranteed which was developed in this work.
