Abstract

The effect of hydrostatic pressure and binary mixture on structure and optoelectronic properties of discotic liquid crystals has been investigated. By x-ray measurements with synchrotron radiation the compressibilty of discotic liquid crystal was obtained. A small variation of optoelectronic properties was found. The effect on phase behaviour, transition temperatures, glassy state, morphology, crystallisation by binary mixtures was pointed out.
