Abstract

The dissertation is a contribution to addressee, target group and participant research in the field of adult edcuation. In particular, the focus is on the field of scientific continuing education. Its central concern is the empirical determination of the needs of non-traditional target groups for scientific continuing education at universities, the acceptance of these target groups by internal university actors as well as the analysis of the time dimension as a decisive condition for participation in continuing education.
