Abstract

In this thesis the coordination chemistry of cyclopentadienylidene phosphorane and diiminophosphinate ligands with selected s- and f-block metals was investigated. The first chapter focused on the formation of zwitterionic half-sandwich complexes, constrained-geometry complexes and phosphorus bridged ansa-metallocenes based on different cyclopentadienylidene phosphorane ligands. In the second chapter the metallation of differently substituted diiminophosphinate ligands was investigated. A variety of homo- and heteroleptic complexes were realized. It was shown to what extent the steric demand and the donor properties of the investigated diiminophosphinate ligands stabilized homo- and heteroleptic complexes of the alkaline earth and rare earth metals.
