The cloning, expression and purification of different invasion factors (IpgE, IpgD, IpgC, IpgA, Spa15, IpaB, IpaC, OspD1, Spa15, ...) of Shigella flexneri in Escherichia coli should result in pure protein for crystallisation and interaction studies. All factors are important for the invasion of Shigella in epithelic cells by the Type III-Tranlocon.
