Abstract

The aim of this retrospective study was to determine the extent of dental diseases, the extent to which therapy under general anesthesia was necessary, and the indication for dental-restoration treatment under general anesthesia in children who underwent such treatment unter intubation anesthesia. In addition, the thesis ascertained if dental health is influenced systemically by the general state of health. For this purpose, the study evaluated the treatment files of 180 children between 0 years and full age who underwent intubation anesthesia at the University Hospital Marburg, Germany, between 2006 and 2010. The dental diagnostic assessment was performed according to dmf-t and DMF-T-Index.
