Following the study of Geim, who measured the approximal attrition of the incisors amd premolar teeth of childen and teenagres from seven to twenty years of age, this study was designed to determine the approximal attrionof lower front teeth in adults. For this purpose the mesiodistal diameter of the incisors of the lower jaw of 620 casts of patients from Middle Europe were measurde and evaluated. The casts were taken from the archives of the Departmentof Orthodontitics and Endodontics of the Philipps-University of Marburg, School of Dentistry. Their age ranged from twenty to sixty years.
