Abstract

Developed and evaluated a bacteriorhodopsin (BR) based photochromic pad printing ink. Research on new long-term stable photoproducts of bacteriorhodopsin and development of a biological optical WORM data storage and data encryption method. Established MS and LC/MS/MS methods for measuring biochemically modified bacteriorhodopsins. Developed a general method for reversible crosslinking bacteriorhodopsins with bionano-components. Established a method for oriented self-assembling of purple membrane sheets on template stripped gold substrates.
