Abstract

The alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone is known for its immunmodulating, antiinflammatoric effects towards allergic reactions of the skin. Its effects towards the allegic airway inflammation haven't been described jet. To examine its effects towards the allegic airway inflammotion we created a mouse-model. Standard mice were BALB/c-Mice, standard allergen was Ovalbumin (OVA). In our examinations we could describe that the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone has got indeet antiinflammatoric effects towards the allegic airway inflammation. Furthermore we could get strong evidence that the antiinflammatoric effects of the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone are interleukin-10 depended.
