Abstract

For its activation, the Influenza A-Virus Hemagglutinin has to be cleaved by serine proteases of its host. By now the human serine proteases, which account for cleavage and activation of Influenza A-Virus Hemagglutinin during its replication cycle in the human host are still not identified. The cloning of the Human Airway Trypsin-like Protease and studies on its ability of cleaving Influenza A-Virus Hemagglutinin are main subjects of this work.
