In the context of postmodern dance form "contactimprovisation" the effects of flow experience and mindfulness to the quality of life are examined. The presentation of the concepts of quality of life, flow experience and mindfulness is followed by a historical phenomenological description of contact-improvisation (Contact). Through quantitative research methods, the interrelationships of these concepts are analyzed. The obtained results are then integrated into a hermeneutic analysis of the Contact scene and its implicit therapeutic effects. The innovative value of the work lies in the development of the so called “Onenessmodell”. The no-mind state, a consciousness of a total unity (Oneness) is explained as a common feature of flow experiences and mindfulness. Other innovative cores of the work are a new definition of the flow experience and the description of implicit norms and values of the Contact scene.
