In the present thesis the size of nef cones of abelian surfaces and of blow-ups of the projective plain is measured. For this we use the concept of nef cone volume. The first two main results give a complete picture of how nef cone volumes are behaved for simple abelian surfaces admitting a principal polarization and for products of two elliptic curves. Also there are results for Del Pezzo surfaces and blow-ups of the projective plain along points on a smooth conic.
