Abstract

The aim of this thesis was the examination of the solvent based synthesis of sulfur-based semiconductor materials like MoS2 by thermal decomposition of suitable precursors. Dithiocarbamates and trithiocarbonates exhibit great potential for the extraction of metals as well as for the synthesis of semiconductor materials based on their characteristics as anionic building blocks in ionic liquids (IL) as well as ligands of metal complexes. A new method for the synthesis of ILs based on dithiocarbamate- /trithiocarbonate anions was developed, providing high yields and purity. Moreover indium and gallium complexes with dithiocarbamate ligands derived from primary and secondary amines were synthesised and examined in regard to their thermal decomposition. Furthermore MoS2 precursors based on tetrathiomolybdates as well as sulfur rich molbdenum complexes were identified, synthesised and characterized. Suitable MoS2 precursors were coated on Si-wafers via spincoating experiments, thermally degraded and examined for the formation of MoS2.
