Abstract

Mostly traumatical an degenerative fractures of the lower spine are treatet by surgery by interposition . This analysis should show whether xenogene cortical structures could be used as implants to stabilise the spine in an in vitro environment by biomechanical testing. The resultes demonstratet bovine cortical bone to be an alternative to established implants of the spine. Further studies in vitro an in vivo plus advancement of the design are needed.
