The thesis is divided into four sections: The first is dealing with the synthesis and the structural characterization of new ortho-chalcogenidostannate salts. In section two the reaction behavior of these salts towards main group element cations, bulky cations, different solvents is investigated. The third is dealing with the synthesis and structural characterization of multinary chalcogenide metallates. In section four the characterization of the newly generated compounds is described by means of NMR spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
