Abstract

This study is a comparison between a micro multileaf collimator (mMLC) with 1 mm leaf width, a mini multileaf collimator (leaf width 3 mm) and a circular cone. It shows that a static circular mMLC field can be used instead of a cone for the investigated fields. The circular fields of the mMLC are superior to the mini multileaf collimator fields.
