The interaction of streamwise vortices and streaks in turbulent boundary layers leads to an asymmetry of cross correlations. This effect is proved for a lowdimensional model and direct numerical simulations. The results are compared to windtunnel measurements of turbulent boundary layers.
Further on the influence of viscoelastic fluids to the cross correlations is studied.
