Limited attention capacites in schoolchildren are a problem that is often talked about by parents and teachers. But in most cases, symptoms exist long before the child enters school. The Marburger Attention Test for Preschoolers was developed specially for three to six-year-olds. It was tested on healthy preschoolers aswell as on children with developmental disorders such as specific language impairment, and it proved suitable for both groups. Used by paediatricians, child psychologists and speech therapists, this method could help to detect possible attention deficits in preschoolers and such prevent their negative long-term effects.
