This work discribes the total synthesis of the natural product fulicineroside. Two Trisacchairdes have been synthesized which were glycosylated with the aglycon of fulicineroside. Key step in the synthesis of the beta,beta,alpha-trisaccharide was a palladium mediated beta-selective glycosylation and a thiophenyl helping-group directed beta-selective glycosylation.
