My PhD research investigates the diversity, distribution patterns, taxonomy, endemism, and phylogenetic relationships of ground beetles (Carabidae) and tiger beetles (Cicindelidae) in Ethiopia, areas largely overlooked in previous biodiversity studies. The goal is to establish foundational data on the composition, richness, and endemism of these beetle families, correlating their distribution with environmental factors, and conducting the first molecular phylogenetic analysis of Ethiopian Trechina, alongside revising taxonomic groups.
