Abstract
The work is dealing with Cobalt-catalysed carbonylation reactions for producing urethanes. Therfore, nitroaromatics as well as aniline derivates can be applied as starting materials.
The presented Co(II) catalysts are able to convert difunctional substrates into their corresponding carbamates without using halide promoters. The only by-product is water so that they fulfil the concept of green chemistry and sustainability.
