This work investigates different concepts for the immobilization of homogeneous catalysts in electrospun polymer fibers and tubes. Different carrier systems were used (oligostyrene in combination with polystyrene fibers, branched polyglycerine incorporated in poly-p-xylylene tubes, cross-linked polyvinylalcohol, functionalized poly-p-xylylene tubes). Leaching studies were performed using UV/Vis- and fluorescence spectroscopy. The activity and selectivity of the immobilized catalyst was shown to be comparable to the activity of the solubilised catalyst.
