Abstract
This work compares two types of biomedical ethics: the ethical theory of Tom L. Beauchamp and James F. Childress (principlism) and the ethical theory of Susan Sherwin (feminist ethics).
Both theories are evaluated in terms of their practical orientation and context sensitivity regarding the ethical conflict of the legalisation of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) in Germany.
