Abstract

Isolation of microorgaisms from blood cultures is the classic diagnostic value of infective endocarditis.The rates of positive blood cultures has dercreased in the past few decades.Premature antibiotic treatment is responsible for the inability to isolate microorganisms from blood cultures.Therefore,the course of proinflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-2 receptor was analyzed during treatment of 55 Patients with infective endocarditis.
