In the present work, the synthesis and characterization of various organometallic compounds containing bonds between the pnictogen elements nitrogen, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, and bismuth is demonstrated. Since the focus was on the general method of future preparation of new precursors for metal organic chemical vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE), the tert-butyl substituent was primarily used. The extent to which a compound can be prepared that combines all five different pnictogens in a single compound was investigated. Here, the synthesis of simple linear interpnictogen chain compounds was demonstrated, which could be used to synthesize new ternary and quaternary compounds. Moreover, based on tert-butyl substituted bis(amido)diazadiarsetidines, the first described quaternary interpnictogen compound was realized.
