Abstract

Mice and rats emit ultrasonic vocalizations. In the present work it was studied whether such vocalizations are communicative signals, which reflect the motivational-affective state of the animals. The studies show 1) that ultrasonic vocalizations have impact on the behavior of the receiver and 2) that they are associated with the motivational-affective state of the sender.
