Abstract

This inaugural dissertation contents the idea of a duty against oneself to stay healthy. It describes the basic ethical findings of Immanuel Kant and developes the idea of an obligation that everyone has against himself as a human being to tray to stay healthy as an possible interprtation of a chapter of the "Metaphysik der Sitten". The second part deals with the modern ethical discussion in medical ethics and the relation of it to a duty oneself to tray to stay healthy.
