Abstract

This study investigates whether non-invasive functional transcranial Doppler sonography (fTCD) is a useful tool to determine hemispheric language lateralization in the presurgical diagnosis of patients with medically intractable temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE)and whether there is a higher incidence of atypical hemispheric language dominance in left temporal lobe epilepsy as a result of the reorganization of language functions.
