Abstract

In the context of this work the optical characteristics of different semiconductor heterostructures were examined on small length scales. For that purpose three different methods of spatial resolved spectroscopy were used, for which its own experimental setup was developed in each case. For the spatial resolved measurement of the photolumineszenz a micro-photoluminescence setup was developed. The spatial resolution could be increased by the employment of a solid immersion lens. With this setup the influence of the disorder on the optical properties of GaAs quantum wells was examined. A further possibility for the investigation of localized phenomena offers the spatial resolved pump-probe-spectroscopy. It allows the investigation of the spatiotemporal dynamics of optically generated carriers with a temporal resolution of 100 fs and a spatial resolution of 1 µm. A further increase of the spatial resolution is possible by the employment of a solid immersion lens. With the optical near-field microscopy the optical activity os a single ferromagnetic MnAs-cluster were examined for the first time.
