Abstract

This dissertation explored the subject of e-learning within the scope of the ear-nose-throat healing arts curriculum. Based on the Deanship’s Topic Catalog, four cases pertaining to diseases of the salivary glands were put together as part of the CASUS program. These cases were later handled online by 22 Philipps University Marburg medical students who had progressed to the clinical phase of their studies. The students were subsequently interviewed about the cases addressed by the CASUS program and asked for their input about e-learning in general.
