Abstract

The video describes a in the monastery of Fulda created mansucript, which contains the books 1 to 6 of the Annals of Tacitus. After the creaotion, the manuscript quickly came to the Corvey Monastery, where it remained until its memorable theft in 1508. Just a few years later it came into the possession of Pope Leo X, who, together with a manuscript from Montecassino, used it as a basis to have a printed version of the work made in 1515.
