Abstract

The "OMAS GEGEN RECHTS" are visible on the streets and in the media. But the scientific examination of the protesting "grannies" is only at the beginning. This paper looks at the intersectional position of high age, gender identity as a woman and the social role of the grandmother and analyzes its link to protest. In an ethnographic field research, a local group of the social movement was accompanied. The relevance of the categories age and gender as access, in the organization and for the self-image of the activists was researched as well as the interlocking of the categories age and gender as part of the staging strategy and protest practice.
