Description
This dataset provides results from dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and particulate organic carbon (POC) analyses of glacial stream water samples collected in Iceland between 2016 and 2019. It is associated with the study by Chifflard et al. published in the journal Water in 2019 (Water 2019, 11, 748; https://doi.org/10.3390/w11040748 ), which presented one of the first assessments of DOC and POC concentrations in Icelandic proglacial streams. The dataset documents organic carbon concentrations in glacier-fed river systems and provides a basis for analysing spatial and temporal variability in carbon export from Icelandic glaciers. It is intended to support further research on biogeochemical processes, organic carbon mobilisation, and downstream carbon transfer in glacier-influenced hydrological systems.
