„Ich bin stinksauer!“ – DaZ-Dialoge im Fach ‚Sprache und Kultur‘

Abstract

Getting to class in time caused major problems for 15 newly immigrated young people who were sent to a German „Gymnasium“ in the autumn of 2015. Against this background, the article provides details on an intercultural classroom project which aimed at raising the students‘ awareness of different time management habits at home (Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea) and in Germany. The approaches chosen by their teacher Maria Ramos include various scaffolding-based methods that made the GFL-students develop and perform dialogues on meeting each other at a certain time and, eventually, on apologizing for being late.
