Abstract

Modern contemporary culture has long overcome the supposed conflict between faith and science. This premise is generally accepted, not least since the age of enlightenment. However, it is a dispute that is still controversially discussed until today and not just since the last few years in which creationism and intelligent design have been broached increasingly by the media. Especially the dichotomy between creation and evolution is consequently to this discussion. This online publication offers an insight into the biblical theology of creation and into the society of Wort und Wissen [word and knowledge]. They represent the most important and most active association of evangelical Christians with a critical view on evolution and recognition of the bible as being a historically valid source and possibly essential for the natural sciences.
