Pädagogik, Legitimation und Ressourcen im Kontext von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen – Herausforderungen in organisationalen Feldern der Weiterbildung aus neo-institutionalistischer Perspektive

Abstract

On an empirical basis, this article examines the challenges that continuing education organizations face in connection with quality management. Theoretically, it is connected to neo-institutionalism. Based on the data of the wbmonitor survey 2017, the challenges are evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively according to four organizational fields (VHS, non-profit/public, communities and commercial/private). The evaluation is structured according to the categories of legitimacy, resources, and pedagogy derived from theory. The results reveal both differences and similarities between the fields, with resources appearing to be the greatest challenge across the fields. The paper concludes with an organizational pedagogical reflection on the findings as learning objects.
