Abstract

Dialkyl(bismuth)cations are accessed and characterized. They grant access to rare examples of Bi-Pt metal-only Lewis pairs. Cycloproyl substituents undergo Bi-to-Pt transfer along with ring-opening to yield allyl platinum species.
